The Assembly gathers government officials from over 150 countries, representatives from the private sector, civil society and international organisations. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Assembly features a number of strategic and programmatic discussions around central themes of the Agency’s work and mandate. The IRENA is an intergovernmental organisation that supports countries in their transition to a sustainable energy future, and serves as the principal platform for international cooperation, a centre of excellence, and a repository of policy, technology, resource and financial knowledge on renewable energy. Currently, IRENA has 150 Members and 27 States have started the formal process of becoming Members.
